How do I get started?
  • In Acc/Budget, add your bank accounts and wallets as assets with their current balance, and cards or loans as liabilities with the amount owed.
  • Switch to Budgets and add monthly limits for categories like Food or Transport.
  • Record income and expenses with the + button on the Income and Expense tabs.

Want to look around first? On the welcome screen, tap Start with sample data.

How do recurring items work?

When adding income or an expense, turn on Repeat and choose daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. Entries are added automatically when the app is opened on or after each due date. Manage them in the Recurring view of the Income or Expense tab — swipe to pause or delete.

What does budget rollover do?

With Rollover on, money you didn't spend in a budget carries into the next month. Overspending is not carried forward.

How do I pay off a credit card or loan?

In Acc/Budget, tap the transfer button (two arrows) and move money from a bank account to the card or loan. This reduces the amount owed.

How do I create a PDF report?

Go to Tools → Reports, choose a report, set the date range and tap Generate PDF. Use the share button to save, print or email it.

How do I back up or move my data to a new phone?

Your data is included in your normal iCloud or computer backup. You can also use Tools → Export backup to save a file to Files or iCloud Drive, then Restore from backup on the new device.

I used the original Finance A app. Can I bring my data?

If your old data is on the same device, the welcome screen offers Import my Finance A data. You can also run it later from Tools → Data & Backup.

Why do I see ads? Can I change ad personalisation?

Ads keep the app free. You can change your ad consent in Tools → About → Ad privacy choices (where available), and tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. See the Privacy Policy.

I didn't get my daily reminder
  • Check that the reminder is on in Tools → Reminder.
  • Allow notifications in Settings → Notifications → Finance A+.
  • A Focus mode (such as Do Not Disturb) can hide notifications.
